The selling and buying pages are both full of ads that have been inactive for months, and some that have been inactive for over 2 years! Is there any benefit to these ads still being publicly visible? I’m not sure what the sensible cut-off point is, but as it stands these ads just make a mess and distort new users’ idea of what is a reasonable price (given that the prices were set on these ads when the market was completely different).

Inactive ads are already sorted to the bottom of the list.
Some traders might just want to leave their contact info on the site and then only log in when there’s someone interested in their ad. We don’t see a reason to force them to be constantly online.
